MacPhee Ford, is currently accepting applications for an Automotive Technician to join our successful service team. Our busy service department has the largest shop in the Halifax area with 24 work bays and stocked with state-of-the-art tools and diagnostic equipment.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• Duplicate, diagnose and repair full range of automotive service issues found on all vehicles including those of all electrical systems, engine, transmission, suspension, braking system and emission systems
• Use shop equipment and diagnostic equipment with confidence and in accordance with all safety procedures
• Expertly diagnose issues based upon experience, analysis and testing
• Perform routine service inspections, test, and lubricate engines and other major components
• Know and adhere to safety and environmental standards for maintenance/repair facilities and maintain a clean and safe working environment
• Communicate with Service Advisors

Skills and Qualifications:

• Grade 12 diploma or GED, Automotive Service Technician, fully licensed Red Seal Journeyman
• Proven knowledge and experience with automotive mechanical operations.
• Excellent diagnostic/electric skills
• Work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment with a positive attitude and team mindset
  Reliable and able to work productively with minimal supervision
• Ability to read and comprehend instructions and other written information
• Driven to learn and succeed
• Must have a valid Nova Scotia driver’s license, and a clean driver abstract

  Promote new business and contribute to company’s customer base by sourcing new customers through prospecting and referral networks
• Providing a superior experience for our customers in order to exceed their expectations

• Set goals for each month’s productivity; plan and organize how to reach those objectives
• Maintain a strong knowledge of all vehicle models

Skills and Qualifications:

• Brand Promotion: Be the face of MacPhee Ford, both in person and online, representing our values and services.
• Collaboration: Work closely with sales and marketing teams to create campaigns that align with dealership goals.
